Welcome to No Deception Indicated

No Deception Indicated is a newsletter and archive built for working polygraph examiners who care about competence, clarity, and common sense.

The name comes from the diagnostic opinion familiar to all of us — but it also reflects the purpose of this project: to present information with no fluff, no politics, and no deception. Just thoughtful, experience-based insight into what works, what doesn’t, and what’s coming next in the world of polygraphy.

Who This Is For

If you’re a practicing examiner — whether working in law enforcement, clinical settings, or private practice — you’ve probably noticed how much noise exists in the polygraph world. Research that doesn’t reflect real-world testing. Opinions masquerading as standards. And constant debates that do little to improve how we actually do the job.

This site cuts through that.

Here you’ll find:

  • Plainspoken articles on evolving test formats and techniques
  • Critical looks at polygraph research — the good, the bad, and the biased
  • Discussions on scoring, psychology, and AI integration
  • And tools and templates developed from real-world experience

Who’s Behind This

I'm Chip Morgan, a career examiner with decades of field experience and a commitment to professional excellence. I've tested thousands of examinees, trained hundreds of examiners, and seen how theory often diverges from practice.

This newsletter is my way of sharing what I’ve learned — and continuing the conversation with other professionals who care about getting it right.
